Yew table - photography

Client: The Furniture Group
Brief: Photography of product

A half-hour quickie job, with daylight mixed with spotlights for the BBC Furniture Group.

Launching the Yew table, which is "a beautiful, sleek table that is made to measure in round, oval, square and rectangular shapes. The sizes range from small breakfast to large boardroom tables and any chair will complement. Pieces of salvaged yew, a wood with a unique character, are carefully selected from fallen trees in the south east of England. The wood is then hand finished, with natural oils or organic lacquer. Our metal workers produce a discreet, custom-made base for sturdy support in muted colours so that the wood is celebrated. The wood pieces are then arranged in a stunning pattern creating both a talking point and an ever-lasting furniture item. From design to completion, each stage is given individual skilled attention and hand-crafted to provide the client with a truly unique table.

The Furniture Group maintain that natural wood provides warmth and character to contemporary spaces. We care about the environment and our salvaged wood reminds people that beauty lies in nature’s discarded resources."
