WORK PORTFOLIO
Photography, Design & Finished Artwork
Title: Youth Opportunity Fund (YOF) x 3 posters
Client: Camden Youth & Connexions
Sizes: Bus headliner, A4 & A3 posters

The aim of the Youth Opportunity Fund is to involve young people, especially those who are hard to reach, in identifying positive activities and things to do, and to support their role as decision makers, grant givers and project leaders. They should be encouraged to consider local needs and circumstances as a part of their role in shaping provision for young people beyond their immediate group. Implementation should allow for the active involvement of young people in decisions about how the money will be spent, with particular emphasis on those who are disadvantaged. They should be involved in all aspects of planning, delivery, monitoring and the evaluation of the Youth Capital Fund.

The first idea was the Dragon's Den concept, inviting young people to submit their proposals - backview of young people (the Panel) on barber seats. Headline: The Panel is getting ready. Can you cut it?

The 2nd idea was using the Camden Town Hall backdrop as the seat of local government, where now young people have the opportunity to make decisions over what affects them.

Later when I found out the fund value was £240 k, we decided to revamp the whole concept to highlight the amount of money to have, something young people could identify with. Here goes.
