Title: 'Unity' Event on 6th April
Client: Camden Youth & Connexions

Camden Detached Project (CDP) working with the Somali group of young people decided to host an event to highlight awareness of their youth within the Somali community but realised it is more universal youth theme of 'Bridging the Gap'. The recent death of one of their mates caught in the middle between gang wars also sparked some reaction in wanting to make a short film depicting the harsh realities of youths as well as the choices one can make that determine your own destiny.

With consultation with the boys, the logo was created with the following themes in mind:
Olive branch and crest, the coming together of hands within the heart-shaped graphic, a yin and yang balance.
The left hand is a handshake (older generation greeting) and the right hand is a knock fist (young person greeting).
Also the duality of being British with a non-white ethnic background.
