Brief: Graphics & Artwork Prep

In the spring of 2007, Signs of Life, working together with Powerlines Undergrounding Project ran a competition with local Hackney schools. These posters feature the winning designs from Gainsborough primary school, Lauriston primary school, Orchard primary school and St. John of Jerusalem primary school. Olympic Delivery Authority funded this project and EDF Energy sponsored the prizes.

The finished posters were celebrated at an opening event on 16th July, attended by the artistic children and other VIPs (amongst them Liam O'Sullivan of EDF the new official Olympic sponsors who recently injected £50 million, Giles Long Para-Olympic athlete, Lord Mawson our founder). At the moment they are situated where the aqua centre is being built (road currently closed off to public), but will be moved to a more public and accessible location in the near future.
