Whereabouts Nov-Dec 06

Hello everyone,

Sorry for the silence for past 3 weeks but I have been quite busy with various things.

1. Working with C-World on creative direction, which is about to be launched with a new look website by end January 2007. Will have to post once it is all up and running. As it involves youth participation, inclusive of consulation with the young people ... it takes a longer time to get things done. Networking with other YP groups in Camden, starting & supporting YP remote journalists. Any YP interested in writing about Drugs for our next issue?

2. Wrapping up previous work and chasing invoices, as those who have been freelance know the situation. Still a few more annoying ones to keep chasing.

3. Went to Ireland for a nice week break with family.

4. Upon return, I started working at a design outfit near Bromley by Bow station - for 3 days a week, with the option to go fulltime maybe later, but let's see how it goes. I am not too keen to be shackled to any 9-5 mundane job. Having worked more than 10 years for corporate and companies that don't give a damn about job satisfaction for their staff, I have been quite adamant to be fiercely independent and self-sufficient and dictate my own progress by staying as a freelancer. A lot of people do not quite understand my stubbornness to remain independent but they admit they do admire it. So far it has been a good experience here at this studio, and there is a lot of work lined up till beginning next year, enough to keep me amused, plus I work with one other designer J who manages the small studio so it's nice and tight.

Updates in another posting/BBBC Work log.

5. A mate is visiting from the Netherlands this weekend so that's Christmas shopping shelved again ... I'm usually organised for Xmas pressies by the summer, but we were away travelling in South East Asia. We did some shopping there but decided we wanted them all for ourselves ;) so looks like we're primed to claw & fight our way with the Xmas crowd! And ... I might pop into IKEA to see/touch a real reindeer! That would be absolutely marvey.

6. In Ireland for Christmas break.
