Raindance East 2004

WORK PORTFOLIO
Easy Busy Cheapy (EBC) in Raindance East 2004

Format: s-16mm film
Duration: 30 secs commercial
Venue: 291 Gallery

My graduation film at LFS, Easy Busy Cheapy was selected in the Raindance East Film Festival 2004. Watch future postings of the video clip (to come).

Raindance Film Festival (RFF) is London's answer to America's Sundance Film Festival (SFF). If you know London's pissy weather you will get the injoke about rain. Some blurb:
Raindance is dedicated to fostering and promoting independent film in the UK and around the world. Raindance combines Raindance, Raindance East and Raindance Kids Film Festivals, Training Courses, Raindance Film Productions and the Raindance Film Magazine, and every year host the prestigious British Independent Film Awards in London. Raindance spans the full spectrum of the art, craft and business of independent movies - from guerilla style low or no budget productions to big budget indie blockbusters.

Footnote: Come to think of it SFF has grown so big, it even has its own travel service. Trust the Americans to market it well. Did you know the LA Olympic Games was the only games that paid for itself? In its essence SFF gave much-needed exposure to the original indies. Big film companies wanted a piece of the action and set up smaller sister outfits to compete with the popularity of the 'individual voice', a move which defeats the purpose of the independents really.

My film is listed ... somewhere. Also available as pdf minilogue.

291 gallery is on Hackney Road. The venue was really something old, new and borrowed. Where else .. in a refurbished Neo-Gothic church - talk about being converted! These photos are from their website:
