Routledge Publicity 2002

DESIGN PORTFOLIO
Routledge Publicity Highlights - Spring Summer 2002.

A 16-paged A5-sized leaflet for the publisher Routledge. Had this idea of the caption being 'Feed Your Mind' one imagines with forthcoming Routledge books this summer, I then took a photo of a plant (house-warming gift) on my newly-purchased table. The original idea had been to use a weed plant instead - I was interested to see how people would react to reading being equated as a weed plant needing the sun. The client loved it, unfortunately we came to our senses and decided not to risk using the plant (banned at that point).

You see, there had been a public debate about marijuana being downgraded to a class C drug and the introduction of a softly softly approach, in an effort to legalise it so that it no longer is a desirable black market item. Some people see its legalisation as a way for the government to tax for its use, the same way as cigarettes are. Others think if we learn from Amsterdam's successful ways it will lose its appeal as a cult item must-have. Only time will tell.

Here you go.
